Jordan's Comment: "If you could kill anyone in the world, and if you knew you wouldn't get caught, what would you do?

That's the premise behind this Alfred Hitchcock thriller. Famous tennis pro Guy Haines is accosted by a total stranger, who asks who he would like to have killed. The stranger agrees to kill Haines's estranged wife if Haines will kill the stranger's overbearing father. Haines thinks it's all a strange joke - until his wife is murdered, and the stranger returns to demand he hold up his end of the deal! Classic Hitchcock thrills follow, right up to the final fight scene, which Hitchcock called the most dangerous stunt he ever directed."

Trivia: Director Alfred Hitchcock makes a cameo appearance in nearly all of his films, and this cameo is one of the most obvious. Look for him early in the film.
