Moose's Comment: "I showed this, Stanley Kubrick's famous black comedy on the hilarity of nuclear war, at the first Jordan Raddick Film Festival. It was one of the most well-received movies in the history of the festival. This is also one of Squirrel and my favorite movies, so I'm glad to be showing it again here."

Squirrel's Comment: "My first exposure to this film was in Mr. Johnson's AP Government class. We had two weeks of school to kill after the AP test, so he took it upon himself to provide us peons with a little culture. I was the only girl in the class who watched the entire movie. I was a freak like that. Whoops, I guess I still am. Stop laughing, Moose."

Trivia: General Ripper's belief that putting fluoride in water was a Communist plot to poison Americans is not made up; it was a common theory among the American right wing during the 1950s.
