Jordan's Comment: "Those of you who know me well know of my obsession with Star Trek. So why am a showing this, arguably the worst of the nine Star Trek movies? A few reasons:
1) I had the opportunity to read the first draft script, and
it's interesting to see the development of the idea.
2) This film is an
interesting case study in how a good story concept can morph into a bad
movie.
3) In the tradition of MST3K and Matt's B-movie nights, this movie
will be quite entertaining to talk back to.
4) Following up on #3, I hope you
will all join me for a game of Star Trek: The Motion Picture: The Drinking Game.

Trivia: At the time this film was made, it was the most expensive film in history. Its record has since been broken by films such as Waterworld .
